Já faz parte da cerimónia anual dos Oscars, é o famoso "álbum" Oscars Portrait Studio da Vanity Fair. 

Como é habitual, coube ao fotógrafo Mark Seliger, registar para a posteridade as estrelas da noite - alguns dos actores premiados mas não só.  Entre um cenário requintado, com degraus de mármore, um piso xadrez e uma janela inspirada em Art déco, Seliger "brincou" com a iluminação e os modelos pousaram de forma teatral para a câmara.

A cerimónia de entrega dos prémios da Academia de Artes e Ciências Cinematográficas está agendada para dia 24 de fevereiro no Dolby Theatre em Hollywood. 

Em 2010, Kevin Hart disse: "se puder impedir meu filho de ser gay, faço-o" e a polémica com a comunidade LGBTQ [Lésbicas, Gays, Bissexuais, Travestis, Transexuais ou Transgéneros] foi instalada.
Quando foi anunciado que a Academia de Artes e Ciências Cinematográficas escolheu o actor e cómico para ser o apresentador da 91ª cerimónia dos Oscars, a organização não-governamental GLAAD, que monitoriza a forma como os media retratam a comunidade LGBT, apresentou uma queixa junto do canal de televisão ABC, relembrando a "retórica e o registo anti-LGBT de Kevin".

O anúncio foi feito pelo actor / comediante no instagram. No post , Hart mostra-se emocionado " era um objectivo há muito tempo… poder fazer parte da lendária lista de anfitriões que agraciou este estágio é inacreditável". 

A 91ª cerimónia de entrega dos Prémios da Academia de Artes e Ciências Cinematográficas acontecerá  no dia 25 de Fevereiro.

For years I have been asked if I would ever Host the Oscars and my answer was always the same...I said that it would be the opportunity of a lifetime for me as a comedian and that it will happen when it’s suppose to. I am so happy to say that the day has finally come for me to host the Oscars. I am blown away simply because this has been a goal on my list for a long time....To be able to join the legendary list of host that have graced that stage is unbelievable. I know my mom is smiling from ear to ear right now. I want to thank my family/friends/fans for supporting me & riding with me all this time....I will be sure to make this years Oscars a special one. I appreciate the @TheAcademy for the opportunity ....now it’s time to rise to the occasion #Oscars
